Financial Donations
Monetary donations are the backbone of our organization. Your donations help us to preserve our collections, increase programming for community programs and provide funds for Conservators to repair and restore our most fragile artifacts.
In addition, the Society maintains a separate Endowment Fund that is restricted to certain future building maintanence in order to preserve the building at 100 E. College Ave for future generations.

Frequently Asked Questions about our Endowment Fund
Does SGAHPS have an Endowment Fund?
Yes. The Society Directors in 2024 established an Endowment Fund separately from our other investment accounts. Donations that had been responsibly invested over the years were used to fund the account.
Why does SGAHPS need an Endowment Fund?
All historic buildings have the potential for unexpected expenses to occur. Our Endowment Fund was set up to be exclusively used to address unplanned maintenance issues that may arise in the future with the building at 100 E. College Avenue. Use of this Fund must meet stringent requirements and be Board of Directors approved for any expenses.
Can donations be designated 'restricted' for the Endowment Fund?
Yes. If you wish your donation to be deposited in our Endowment Fund, please let us know upon donating. These type of restricted donations allow your dollars to continue to support the Society for years in the future.
Can other types of financial instruments be donated to the Endowment Fund?
Yes. If you have stocks, bonds, or other types of financial investments that you would like to donate to SGAHPS and have restricted for our Endowment, contact us to discuss options. We recommend discussing your donation with your financial advisor.
Does SGAHPS accept Donor-Advised Funds?
Yes. Ask your financial advisor for details to see if you qualify. SGAHPS maintains excellent ratings with Charity Navigator and Candid for transparency. If you desire the DAF be restricted for our Endowment Fund, please notify the Executive Director.
